Raleigh Run for Rare 5K Walk/Run is an event that will benefit the National MPS Society. All funds raised will be used for research of MPS and ML Diseases. Please visit the National MPS Society website for more details on this wonderful organization.
The motivation for this event is shared by the Klein and Schleter Families as their daughter Jennifer suffers from Mucolipidosis Type III. Please read a little more about Jennifer and her journey with ML. The Society has one office that serves our Nation and it is located in the Raleigh Durham Area! The Society is the national support for families and children affected by Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) and Mucolipidosis (ML).
The Society advocates through efforts in Research, Family Assistance, Federal Advocacy, Newborn Screening, and Educational and Fundraising Committees.
