Throwing Bones’ mission is to inspire ALL blood cancer patients to keep moving forward with active lifestyles during treatment and beyond. We’re running OVER mountains to make healthy and active lifestyles a part of the solution.
Through Throwing Bones, we hope to encourage and inspire, and to educate and enable blood cancer patients everywhere to find their best quality of life through healthy and active lifestyles.
All proceeds from the Throwing Bones Trail Race will go towards helping patients assess their physical abilities, allowing caregivers and healthcare providers to succeed. Current projects include a patient self-assessment series, healthcare, and connecting patients with patient-focused fitness coaches.
Throwing Bones is a patient-focused registered 501(c)3 for patients fighting multiple myeloma and other blood cancers.
Race Date: Saturday March 14, 2020
Start Time: Trail Fun Run will begin at 8:30am. 5k will begin at 9am. 10k will begin at 9:15am.
Course: 5k and 10k routes will be available for download soon.
Parking: Parking will be available near the course, but will likely fill up quickly. Overflow parking is available at the Black Mountain public parking, which is approximately .5 miles from the start.
