Bethel Half Marathon + 5k – October 12, 2019 – Bethel Middle School – Waynesville NC
I have done this race at least a handful of times – starting in 2005. It is a nice scenic course and not too hilly by Western North Carolina standards. The post-race food cannot be beat and there are oodles of cheerful, supportive volunteers.

The Half Marathon and 5K Races are run through the lovely Bethel Community south of Canton, NC, about a half hour outside of Asheville. Our race is on the second Saturday of October – October 12th, 2019. The fall colors on the trees, the rolling farmlands, the Pigeon River, and the cool weather make this a particularly inviting race event.
2019 is our 26th year. We are the oldest half marathon in North Carolina and the third oldest half marathon in the Southeast.
