FEE
$25 for all races if postmarked by April 1, 2019. There is an additional $10 fee for all races after April 1, 2019 including race day. T-shirts are not included in the registration fee. Please include an additional $10 if you would like a t-shirt.

Alexander County residents and county employees (active or retired), and ALL emergency services personnel, military, and teachers may participate for FREE this year.
COURSE
The start and finish line for all races is at the new Visitor’s Center (new building) at Rocky Face Park located at 3645 Rocky Face Church Road in Hiddenite. The course follows Grindstone Trail, turning right at the campground area and traveling up the Stairway to Heaven Trail. At the intersection at the top of the hill, turn right onto Hollow Rock Trail, travel up to the loop, turning right and around to Short Cut Trail and then traveling a short distance back down to Hollow Rock Trail, turning right and down for nearly .75 mile of switchbacks down to the intersection of Grindstone and Prison Camp Trail. Turn right, travel down Prison Camp Trail to the bottom, taking a left onto Buzzard Roost Loop Trail up to Hollow Rock Trail, traveling almost .50 mile back to the intersection, turning right onto Grindstone Trail back to the finish line at the Visitor’s Center.
SPECIAL NOTICE TO ALL RUNNERS
The RockyFest Trail Race course is the same as 2018. Each runner runs the same 4.5 mile loop course. So this year there will be new course records. Any runner who can complete one loop under 40 minutes, two loops under one hour and 20 minutes, or three loops under 2 hours will have their registration fee (not fee for t-shirt) refunded.
AWARDS
Special awards go to the top 3 overall males and females in all races. All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal. Masters awards will be presented to the first male and female over 40 finishers in each race.
PACKET PICK-UP
Race numbers and shirts may be picked up at the Rocky Face Park Visitor’s Center (3645 Rocky Face Church Road, Hiddenite, NC 28636) on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
Late registrations will also be accepted at that time. Race day registration will be available at the Visitor’s Center starting from 6:45 AM until 7:45 AM on Saturday, April 13, 2019.
DIRECTIONS TO ROCKY FACE MOUNTAIN RECREATIONAL AREA
From U.S. 64 East (from Taylorsville) turn left onto Millersville Road or from U.S. 64 West (from Statesville) take a right onto Millersville Road and travel to the stop sign. Take a left onto Highway 90 and then a right onto White Plains Road. Travel to the stop sign and take a right onto Rocky Springs Road. Turn left onto Rocky Face Church Road. The Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area will be located to your right.
