A classic event in Brevard. Don’t forget your cape, teeth and whatever else you bring to a Transylvania County race just before Halloween.
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
The 2018 Flight of the Vampire Race/Walk and Fun Run coincides with the 2018 Halloweenfest in downtown Brevard, North Carolina. This year, the City of Brevard is celebrating its 150th Anniversary! We also have a new course to offer for the Flight of the Vampire Race this year.
For several years the the Flight of the Vampire Race has been the kick off event for the Halloweenfest. Later in the day music, food, dancing, kid fun games, tours, crafts, art and much more fill the cool mountain air in one of the picturesque little towns in western NC.
This year the Rotary Club of Brevard is pleased to offer a new course for the Flight of the Vampire race. The start and finish line will be just past the Post Office on West Main Street. The course will treat runners to a mix of business district, historic homes, the railroad arts district, farm land and the scenic beauty of the Sylvan Valley and the surrounding mountains.
EVENT DETAILS AND SCHEDULE
The 2018 Flight of the Vampire Race begins at 8am. Same day registration begins at 6am. We will offer packet pickup the day before on the patio adjacent to Quixote’s restaurant at 43 S. Broad Street. To insure a t-shirt, online registration must be completed by October 10th. The children’s fun run will run around a city block and will start just after the 5K starts.
After the race, join in the fun of the all day at the Halloweenfest for food, music and culture.
The Brevard Rotary thanks everyone who supports our races.
