We’re Back! After a one-year hiatus, the Cherokee Harvest Half Marathon & 5K return to the racing schedule on Saturday, October 20. Also back will be our scenic courses, amazing swag, and incredible post-event meal.
Online registration will open at 12 noon on December 1 and will close on Thursday, October 18 at 9:00 PM.
In order to provide the best possible experience for our Half Marathon runners, the race is capped at 450 runners.

All events take place at the site of the old Acquoni Events Center on Acquoni Road in Cherokee.
The course will take runners through much of Cherokee, including a loop in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park where elk are known to be sighted. The race will start and finish in the parking lot of the Acquoni Events Center.
There are six aid stations on the course, located approximately every two miles. Each station has a portable toilet.
Time Limit All half marathon runners have 3 hours to complete the course in order to be provided full police protection and aid station support. Those still on the course at this time will be asked to stay to sidewalks and follow traffic rules. Race officials will stay with all runners on the course to make sure they arrive to the finish line safely.

All runners must be registered by October 7 to receive a long-sleeve tech running shirt and our famous hoody, both in unisex sizing.
Note: The tech shirts run a half-size large so plan accordingly when choosing your size.

The post race meal will be provided by the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort Culinary Department. This has always received rave reviews from our runners and we can’t wait to see what they come up with for this year.
Each half marathon finisher will receive a commemorative finisher award.
There will be a cash purse of $1,600 for the half marathon. The prize breakdown is as follows:
Overall (Male & Female): 1st-$400, 2nd-$200, 3rd-$100; Masters (Male & Female): 1st-$100
Special awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers for
Overall finishers and First place Masters (40 & Over) in each race.
Age group awards will go to the first, second and third male and female in the following age groups: 12 & Under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Over. No double dipping!
The half marathon ceremony will begin at approximately 10:30 AM.
