Rock the Quarry 5k – September 15, 2018 – Grove Stone and Sand – Black Mountain NC

It’s that time again. If you haven’t rocked the quarry before, now is the time to collect your badge of honor. All proceeds from the race benefit the Black Mountain Home for Children & the Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS). Last year the event donated over $66,000 to its nonprofit partners! This is a family-friendly event so don’t miss it.

THE COURSE

Boasting some of the best views in all of Western North Carolina, this challenging course combines scenic views, private trails, multiple stream-crossings, and a ½ mile span through Grove Stone’s active quarry.

KIDS FUN RUN

Rock the Quarry is excited to continue the Kids Fun Run (ages 10 and under). The Kids Fun Run ($5 per participant) is 1/4 of a mile – and each participant will receive a “ROCK” headband! The Kids Fun Run will start at 9:15am before the 5K.
