I’m so glad to run for an organization like this! Makes me want to do it all the more!
Thanks for pointing that out. I’m certain to run it now.
Couched in fine print, this “good cause” is a pro-life group, advocating a partisan political agenda. They should be upfront about that agenda since the subtlety in their mission statement obscures that fact. All runners should be made aware of where there hard earned money is headed.
Makes me want to run it even more. Thanks:-)
As soon as I saw where the money was going, I browsed the site and have no problem with donating to pregnancy care. Pro life or not, the “agenda” of this organization appears to be offering compassion and care to anyone who needs it. I’m running the race and glad to know my money is going to this cause.
That’s your choice and that’s fine. I was just making the statement that this organization should not try to obscure the main purpose of the center which might bypass someone’s understanding if they were not reading with intent and mindfulness. The center’s mission statement is obscure for a reason and that is because they expect people to read it at face value. What do they have to be afraid of?
