Firecracker 5k – July 4, 2018 – Shelter Cove Park – Hilton Head SC

The 33rd Annual Hilton Head Firecracker 5K Run and Family Fun Walk will be held on Wednesday, July 4th 8:00am at Shelter Cove Community Park on Hilton Head Island. The Hilton Head Firecracker Run is the largest and oldest road race in Beaufort County and one of the top ten races in the state of South Carolina. Over 1,700 runners and walkers from across the United States annually participate in this fun, healthy, family event.

The festive post-race celebration features a Children’s Fun Run, music, fresh fruit, ice cold refreshments, door prizes, and more! A percentage of proceeds from the event benefits local charities including: The Hilton Head Rotary Club, Hilton Head High School Cross Country Team, and other local charities.

5K ENTRY FEE & REGISTRATION

$25 Kids 5K Run – (12 and under)
$30 Adult 5K Run
Add $5 late fee on all entries after 6/27/18 – $10 on July 4th

8 and under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 85 and over.
Male Clydesdale – 200 lbs and over (34 and under – 35 and over)
Zina Women’s Division – 145 lbs and over

The race will be chip-timed (gun start) with a state of the art Timing System from CRRS.

Register for Firecracker Children’s Fun Run
Parents can pre-register their child for the fun run online or at Packet Pick-Up on July 3rd or July 4th. Registration is $10 per child ($5 late fee after 6/27 ) and includes a bib, t-shirt and finishers prize! We recommend pre-registration to guarantee event t-shirt.) Kids 8 years and under, takes place inside Shelter Cove Community Park. Beginning at 9AM, the race is broken down into three heats: Registration is $10 per child ($5 late fee on race day) and includes a bib, t-shirt and finishers prize!

Age 3 and under: 25-yards run beginning at 9AM
Ages 4-5: 50-yards run beginning at 9:05AM
Ages 8 and under: 100-yards beginning at 9:10AM
