I’ve done this race a bunch of times, mostly the long race. I like it for many reasons, not the least of which is the setting and post race food. The courses were re-designed last year and sound good.
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
The private trails of the Southcliff community in Fairview beckon you to run them on two redesigned courses with either the 6.8-mile Black race or 3.1-mile Blue race. This race features the best prizes and post-race party of any in the area including a catered lunch and beer.
The 2017 Southcliff Black & Blue Classic races will be run on the courses redesigned last year. The race names are based on ski slope classifications. The Black Course is the hardest at 6.8 miles while the easier Blue Course is 3.1 miles. What hasn’t changed is the hospitality. We will continue our tradition of a catered post-race lunch and beverages from local producers, and the most generous awards in the area.
The Black Race will start at 9:00 AM and the Blue Race at 9:05 AM at the gatehouse.
