Salem Lakeshore Frosty Fifty – January 7, 2017 – Salem Lake – Winston-Salem NC

A little frosty January weather never scares runners away from the Frosty 50k at Salem Lake!  If you’re like me and aren’t quite up for the 31 mile trek, you can always opt for the 25k – weighing in at 15.5 miles.  The forgiving course is on a wide rolling dirt trail around the shoreline of Salem Lake.  You’ll make several loops around the lake with an out and back trail add on to complete the distance.  Once you’ve run this race once, I promise it will become a staple on your calendar.  It’s that good.

Beginning and ending at Salem Lake trailhead, off Reynolds Park Road in Winston-Salem, NC. The average temperature in early January is a high of 49 and a low of 29.

25K individual, 50K individual, and 50K relay (four runners per team, one leg/12.5K per runner).

No registration after January 4, 2017, no race day registration. No refunds or comps.

Race caps: Total runners – 1000; 25K – 200; Relay – 100 teams
