Run Like the Dickens 5K – December 3, 2016 – Downtown – Edenton NC

The weatherman is predicting sunny skies for the very first Run Like the Dickens 5K in downtown Edenton on Saturday!  The race benefits the Edenton-Chowan Education Foundation.  The course will take you on a foot tour of beautiful downtown Edenton, by the High School campus, through tree-lined Broad Street and finishes at the historic Waterfront!

The “Run Like the Dickens 5K” kickstarts “A Dickens Christmas” in beautiful downtown Edenton, NC. Runners and walkers will experience this amazing waterfront town, the former colonial capital of North Carolina, while moving through tree-lined streets past historic homes.

The “Run Like the Dickens 5K” utilizes a unique and exciting route that winds through Edenton, travels around the high school campus, and then heads right down tree-lined Broad Street (the heart of beautiful downtown Edenton) before finishing at the Town of Edenton waterfront. The run/walk will be “chip-timed.” Shuttles will run between the start and finish lines.
