The St. Jude Memphis Marathon weekend is coming up this Saturday! The scenic Boston-qualifying course takes you on a tour through the city of Memphis. Best of all, run 26.2 miles knowing you are supporting St. Jude, who’s very important mission is to never stop fighting until children stop dying from cancer.
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
Near mile 5, the course passes through the St. Jude campus where patients, their families and other onlookers gather to cheer. Runners will also pass through Overton Park, Overton Square, scenic neighborhoods and several Memphis historic areas before finishing in front of a crowd in AutoZone Park.
Runners who fundraise for St. Jude while training for their race are part of a nationwide alliance against childhood cancer. They’re called St. Jude Heroes.
All participants who cross the finish line of any St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend race will receive a finisher medal. This year’s medals commemorate 15 years of St. Jude and the Memphis Marathon with our special “15 years and running” tagline. Each medal also features the St. Jude logo, plenty of glitter and a spinning skyline of the city of the Memphis.
