Home for our Heroes 5k – November 12, 2016 – St. Luke Greek Orthodox – Mooresville NC

This first time race is for a wonderful cause – all proceeds will go towards helping local homeless veterans through the Statesville Veterans Transitional Home.  So dust off your racing flats, come out & run a flat, fast 5k and show your support to our local veterans!

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

The Statesville Veterans Transitional Home is a newly completed center located at 1208 Wilson Lee Blvd in Statesville, NC dedicated to feeding, housing and retraining homeless veterans to help them regain control of their lives. It really is a grass roots effort and they need funds to help pay for the daily operation of the shelter. Our goal with this race is to give our community a chance to support this worthy cause. We want to raise as much money as possible to help fund the Veterans Transitional Home. Please consider supporting the veterans who have somehow lost their way. Remember, we rise by lifting others.
