Xterra Hickory Knob Trail Runs 50k + 42k + 25k + 12k + 5k – October 15, 2016 – McCormick SC

Hickory Knob State Park is located on the shores of Lake Strom Thurmond near McCormick, SC, in a location referred to as South Carolina’s West Coast.  The running trails rest along beautiful rolling, wooded shoreline. The park is about 2 hours from Columbia and Greenville, 2.5 hours from Atlanta and 3 from Asheville, Charleston and Savannah.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

At 7:30 a.m, run the 5K (3.4 mi) Turkey Ridge Trail (2 loops of the 1.7 mi trail) 10 Minutes after the 5K ends, the following races kick off: 12K–7.2 miles on the Lakeview Trail 25K–14.4 miles–The Heavy 1/2–2 x Lakeview Trail 42K–26.7 miles–Marathon+–3 x Turkey Ridge + 3 x Lakeview 50K–Run The Knob!–1 x Turkey Ridge + 4 x Lakeview Want a little more distance? Run the 5K plus the 12K, 25K, or 50K. (There’s no option to run the 5K & 42K…run the 50K if you are looking for that distance.) Packet Pick Up/Late Registration: Race morning only from 6:30-7:45 am at the Turkey Ridge Trail Head.
