The Holiday Festival of Lights on James Island is a unique sight to be seen, and what better way of seeing it than a 2 mile loop through the park? November 11 is the official opening date for the 2016 lights display, so by participating in this fun run you’ll see the sights before it’s open to the public!


Join us for this exclusive preview of the Holiday Festival of Lights. Runners and walkers will be the first in Charleston to experience more than 200 magical light displays. After the 2-mile run/walk, participants are invited to enjoy the festival’s amenities. Registered participants will receive a glow necklace. A registered and paid chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under. Socialized dogs on a short leash are welcome. Retractable leashes, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades and scooters are not permitted for safety reasons. Arrive early; the park will close to all traffic at 6:30PM and will not reopen until approximately 8:30PM. An admission ticket (not receipt) is required for event entry. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Lost tickets will not be replaced. Admission tickets will be mailed if purchased more than 7 days prior to the event. Tickets purchased 7 or fewer days prior to the event can be picked up at the Park and Program Services office at 861 Riverland Drive on James Island. Everyone is required to have a ticket (not receipt) for park/event entry. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the park. Lost tickets will not be replaced. Online registration will end at 3 pm on November 10 unless sold out prior. Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades and scooters are not permitted. Registration fee will increase to $15 on 11/10/16.
