The popular 13.1 nationwide race series is returning to Fayetteville on October 22. The race courses for all three distances consist of a out-and-backs along All American Expressway and have very little elevation change, making for a potential for a PR. As always, the race offers nice gift certificate awards to top finishers.

The third annual Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC Race 13.1 Fayetteville, NC half marathon, 10k and 5k will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2016. The flat and fast course starts and finishes at Cross Creek Mall, allowing runners to enjoy ample parking and many amenities before and after the race. The course has just 58 feet of elevation gain and will feature plenty of on-course entertainment and aid stations with ice towels! The vast majority of the race takes place on a closed portion of the All American Expressway.
Fayetteville is an amazing city, from the historical buildings and cobblestone sidewalks of Hay Street to the array of art galleries and unique eateries, downtown is the epicenter of Fayetteville’s history and culture. Home to Fort Bragg, with over 55,000 military personnel, there are more service members based in Fayetteville than any other Army installation in the country. It’s also proud to be the home of the revered 82nd Airborne Division and the famed Golden Knights parachute team.
