Mountain Laurel 5k – May 14, 2016 – Keowee-Toxaway State Park – Sunset SC

Participation in this trail run helps fund the South Carolina State Parks System. The Mountain Laurel 5k is the 5th race in the six race SC State Parks Come Out and Play race series, followed by the Grenade Dash at Croft State Park.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

On Saturday May 14, 2016, we will be running along the Natural Bridge Trail at Keowee-Toxaway State Park. The Mountain Laurels should be in full bloom as we make two laps of this scenic trail. This 5K will be mostly on improved trail conditions, with only a short portion on paved road.

This race is open to all ages and experience, and you can run, jog, walk, walk your dog, or come out and cheer on friends and family. Prizes for top finishers and door prizes also, and free giveaway items to all participants. All proceeds from this race will go towards trail maintenance and improvements at Keowee-Toxaway, so please come out and support your South Carolina State Parks.
