Faster than a Pastor 5k – April 16, 2016 – American Legion Post 187 – Wake Forest NC

Last year, the Faster than a Pastor 5k helped raise more than $7,000 for the ChurchNet assistance ministry and Tri-Area Ministry food pantry. The race course makes a figure 8 around the roads by the American Legion. Here‘s the map.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

In its debut last year, 200 runners and walkers signed up for this event. David Meeker set the pace on the USATF course finishing in 18:14. Mindy Hidenfelter led the women with a 22:24 effort.

The event is managed by the good folks at Woodland Baptist Church in Wake Forest. Proceeds will benefit two area ministries – Church NET and Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry.

The course being run is the same one that is used for the 5K Freedom Run put on by the American Legion in June. The Legion is located at 225 East Holding Avenue in Wake Forest.
