Coastal 10 Miler + 4 Miler – April 10, 2016 – Autumn Hall – Wilmington NC

The Coastal 10 miler and 4 miler races give runners a tour of the scenic UNC Wilmington campus. There’s a nice discount for active military members.

Get ready to run an awesome 10-miler in Wilmington, NC for a great cause! Victory Junction in Randleman, NC provides fun, life-changing experiences at no cost to children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses. Organized as a weeklong camp, children are stimulated through various activities including swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, arts and crafts activities and woodshop.

Adam Petty envisioned creating a camp for children before a racing accident to his life too soon, and Adam’s parents created Victory Junction to honor Adam’s wish and preserve his memory. By running in this Coastal 10-Miler, you help foster the independence, confidence and growth of children who need it most.

Race Director Doug Wheeler is a local athlete who feels very strongly about the mission and vision of Victory Junction. He’s qualified and ran the NYC marathon, and has qualified and will be competing for the 2015 Boston marathon. Wheeler’s competed in almost all of the local races and is looking forward to taking those experiences to put on a fun and quality race.
