The Burn Labor Day 5k – September 7, 2016 – Crowders Mountain – Gastonia NC

The burn is right! Runners will run straight up the Tower Trail at Crowers Mountain State Park and then back down again. The elevation gain is over 500 feet in 1.5 miles. You’ll make up some time on the way back down, but plan to add 5 or so minutes to your typical 5k time.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Accept the challenge this Labor Day, September 7th, by taking on the Tower Trail at Crowders Mountain State Park. This up and back race will begin at 8:00 am at the Linwood Road access and follow the winding gravel road just past the 1.5 trail marker. Space is limited.

Parking: All parking will be available at Karyae Park, 4227 Linwood Road (0.7 miles away) and shuttle service will be provided.
