5k Run for Honduras – May 14, 2016 – Chapel Grove Baptist Church – Gastonia NC

The 5k Run for Honduras consists of a point-to-point course in Gastonia. Racers will be shuttled to the starting line and will finish by Chapel Grove Baptist Church. Check out the race website for pictures of some amazing looking post-race treats.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

​Chapel Grove Baptist Church’s missions team travels to Honduras annually to offer support in medical and dental clinics, and most importantly helps fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. There are so many needs in this very poor country and we knew somehow, even though we could not physically go ourselves, that there had to be a way we could help out. Several of us got together in 2013 and decided that God was leading us to help raise funds for those who travel to Honduras. God showed us that our love for Christ, love for other people, and the love of running could be used together to coordinate this event to go along with our annual auto show. So here we are for our 3rd annual event.
