See Spot Run 5k + 12k – May 21, 2016 – Earlewood Park – Columbia SC

see spot run 5k

This year’s See Spot Run will include a 12k as well as the 5k. 12k (around 7 miles) is a not-so-common distance for community road races, and that’s as good an excuse as any to get out there, run, and help raise money for the pups at the Humane Society. You’ll get a tech shirt with your registration and it looks like your pets also may get a special piece of swag if they run with you!

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

The See Spot Run 5K run/walk is a family and pet friendly event designed to raise funds to support the work of the Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. We also have a “k-9” fun walk for all those dogs who would rather trot a shorter course.

The 5k race course is certified by the USA Track and Field Association and is designed to offer a run and interesting route for participants. In addition to the competitive 5K Run, participants are encouraged to bring their dogs to run or to walk the course.

All proceeds from the See Spot Run will benefit the Humane Society to support our low-cost spay/neuter clinic and animal cruelty prevention programs. The Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
