Run for Brighter Days 10k + 5k – May 7, 2016 – Pee Dee Research and Education Center – Florence SC
This is the 5th annual Run for Brighter Days, a race to fight suicide across the US. The 5k and 10k both have the same price ($25), which is a great deal for 10k distance.
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
What do you run for? Join us and run for a tremendous cause. Suicide is now the 2nd leading cause of death for young people 15-29. Proceeds from our run are used to fund a national suicide awareness and prevention campaign called Be THAT Friend. Last year we touched communities IN 43 STATES.
This run/walk takes runners on a scenic course throughout Dargan’s Pond and Clemson University’s Research and Education Center. It is centered around one of the most beautiful but tucked away places in South Carolina. Trees covered in Spanish Moss, a breathtaking pond, and wildlife around every turn. It is a trail race, but the trail is mostly packed, free of roots etc., and is also wide. The race is held in conjunction with Clemson’s Research and Education Center’s Pee Dee Outdoor Discovery Day . There will be a lot of activities and fun!
