Base2Base Race 35k – May 1, 2016 – McEntire Joint National Guard – Sumter SC

Run 21.7 miles in this unique run from one military base to another. If you’re not up for the whole distance, you can participate as a two person relay team. 35k is a unique, and long, distance, so the race website has a suggested training plan available in order for you to get ready.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Join us for our inaugural Base2Base Race in recognition of Military Appreciation Month to honor our service men and women who sacrifice for our freedom. This 35-kilometer run begins at the front gate of McEntire Joint National Guard near Eastover, travels down Hwy 378 and ends at the south gate of Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter. Choose to run the entire course or form a 2- person relay team. Race includes T-shirt, finisher medals, shuttle transportation, and finish line celebration at Shaw AFB with food, drinks, awards, and much more. Certified course, finish line & chip timers by Strictly Running. All proceeds benefit our Warriors to Wellness program.
