This is truly a tradition in Columbia! This race is celebrating it’s 43rd year with some exciting changes. A NEW date, a NEW course, and a NEW era. The 2016 event is also privileged to be a RRCA Regional Championship event.

In 1973, the Lexington Medical Center Governor’s Cup Road Race is one of the oldest, continuously conducted road race events in the Southeast.  Join us on May 14, 2016 for our 44th annual event.

The Governor’s Cup is operated by the Carolina Marathon Association which has been conducting major running events in Columbia since 1977.  The Carolina Marathon Association’s motto has always been, “Our events are managed by runners for runners.”
