Emerald Isle Marathon, Half Marathon + 5K – April 9, 2016 – Emerald Isle NC

This is the third annual running of the Emerald Isle Marathon and Half Marathon.  The race sells out fast because it is a Boston certified course that is flat and fast!! Not to mention running 26.2 (or any distance) on a beautiful island, isn’t too shabby.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Our third annual race is aimed at benefiting the Emerald Isle Bike Path and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The path is used by both residents and vacationers. The expansion of the path has been an ongoing task by the town and ‘Friends of the Path’ for more than 10 years. It is a tremendous benefit for the safety of our runners, cyclists, children and walkers that utilize it daily. We hope to continue this race for years to come and continue to contribute to local charities and our community. Please allow me to thank you in advance for your support of our event!

INFORMATION/REGISTRATION

Marathon starts at 6:15am. Half Marathon will begin at 8:15am. The 5K will follow at 8:30am.
