Pennies for Pigs 5k – March 19, 2016 – Macedonia United Methodist Church – Troy NC

Pennies for Pigs is a mission project started by Macedonia Methodist Church to buy pigs for orphan children in Kenya, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe. These pigs serve an important purpose by providing the children with a way to earn money for their household. Money raised in this 5k will also go toward supporting needy children in the community at Christmas time.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Course runs from Macedonia United Methodist Church to the Randolph/Montgomery County Line and back. Entry fee is $15 for registrations through 2/29; $20 for registrations 3/1 – 3/18 and $25 Race Day. Everyone is guaranteed a t-shirt, BUT, to be guaranteed a t-shirt by race day, you must be registered by 2/29. Walkers and strollers welcome; be courteous of runners. No pets, please. Rain or shine – no make-up date.
