Duke Crush Colorectal Cancer 5k – March 19, 2016 – 9th Street – Durham NC

This is the 3rd annual running of this 5k race to honor and celebrate those whose lives have been touched by colorectal cancer.  The course has been certified by the USATF.  The start and finish are on the 700 block of Ninth Street in Durham.  Click here for course details, including elevation.  Come out, run the race, and help CRUSH colorectal cancer!

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

According to the American Cancer Society, colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in the United States. Every year over 140,000 people are diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer. Every year, over 50,000 die from this disease. Recent advances have significantly contributed to improving screening and treatment, and have resulted in a growing population of colorectal cancer survivors. We are making progress!

Please convince others to register! We are on track to do way better than last year, but we need your help. Here are some suggestions of other people you can convince to join you: relatives, friends, neighbors, strangers, barista at Starbucks, long lost twin, Uncle Joey from Full House.
