Bosch 5K – March 5, 2016 – Riverfront Park – North Charleston SC

Run this 5k to support a great cause!  Backpack Buddies is a Lowcountry Food Bank program which provides kids with easy to prepare meals and snacks for the weekend. The course is an out and back, flat, scenic route through Riverfront Park in North Charleston.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Last school year, Sarah, a student at one of our North Charleston schools was observed saving part of her lunch each day. When her teacher asked about it, she said she was saving the food so she would have something to eat when she went home from school. She was immediately enrolled in the BackPack Buddies program. Once she started receiving backpacks of food each week, she was able to enjoy her entire lunch at school and felt more secure knowing that she would have food to eat when she was hungry at home.
