Race to the Taps Marathon Edition – Various Locations and Dates – Asheville – Black Mountain – Hendersonville NC – 2016
|FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
WNC’s favorite craft beer running series is back.
Who says you need to run a marathon in just one day? We don’t! Join us or the 2016 edition of the Race to the Taps and complete 26.2 miles over the course of 4 races.
The series kicks off on Saturday April 23rd at 2pm at Catawba Brewing in downtown Asheville with a 5 miler.
The second race will take place at Southern Appalachian Brewery on Saturday June 11th at 11 am.
After a summer break we head to Pisgah Brewing on Saturday, September 24th for our third race of the series. This is sure to be a scenic run through the foothills in Black Mountain. Race start time at 2 pm.
To complete the Race To The Taps Marathon Edition you will have two choices at this final event. Our end of series race will start and end at New Belgium Brewing on the banks of the French Broad River. The course will highlight the parks, greenways and neighborhoods in this area of West Asheville. Race start time at 11 am (8 Miler) and 11:15 am (4 Miler).
If you choose the Race To The Taps 4 mile option at New Belguim, you can still achieve the marathon by completing the additional 4 miles at the Highland Brewing Night Flight on July 9th. All Race to the Taps participants who finish that event will have those 4 miles added to their marathon series milage total.
Currently only the complete series is open for registration but the individual races will open up on February 1st.
