Following the Star 5k – December 24, 2015 – Idlewild Baptists Church – Matthews NC

This 4th Annual Christmas Eve race celebrates what Christmas is all about!  The entire family can participate in a 5k trail run filled with holiday themed obstacles.  All proceeds go to the Lottie Moon Offering supporting International Missionaries.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

This year we are enhancing the race! Not only will the race benefit international missions but our fabulous swag bag alone is helping others. We have teamed with a local boutique, The Marketplace, and Freeset to provide our runners with fair trade items that are providing employment for underprivileged individuals. Our bags have been personally designed and made from Freeset. In our bags we have selected beautifully handcrafted Papillon Christmas ornaments from steel drums. As we have replaced the typical race shirt with unique and handmade fair trade items we hope you fall in love with each organization and the people they are helping. We feel it is our purpose and privilege to be able to help so many during this holiday season!
