Mel’s Jingle 5k – December 12, 2015 – Hickory NC

Mellow Mushroom Hickory owner Leslie Knapp has teamed up with local partners to organize Mel’s Jingle Run in downtown Hickory.  The race will start at the Sails on the Square in downtown Hickory.  The course winds around downtown and goes through the Lenoir Rhyne campus.  Proceeds will go to Operation 300 and to PORCH (People Offering Relief from Community Hunger).

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Operation 300 is a non-profit organization that hosts adventure camps for children who have lost their fathers as a result of military service and seeks to honor the families of the Fallen.

Mellow Mushroom nationally sponsors the No Kid Hungry campaign. Locally, Leslie Knapp supports PORCH and its efforts to fight child hunger.
