Holiday Festival of Lights 2 Mile Run – November 11 & 12, 2015 – James Island County Park – Charleston SC

James Island is famous for its yearly holiday lights display. The display is quite impressive, with lots of moving scenes and figures that are so gigantic they aren’t even taken down during the rest of the year. This non-competitive fun run is your first chance to see the lights for the season while enjoying a jog through the scenic park. The run will take place on Wednesday, November 11th and again on Thursday the 12th.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Join us for this exclusive preview of the Holiday Festival of Lights. Runners and walkers will be the first in Charleston to experience more than 200 magical light displays. After the 2-mile run/walk, participants are invited to enjoy the festival’s amenities. Registered participants will receive a glow necklace. A registered and paid chaperon is required for participants ages 15 and under. Socialized dogs on a short leash are welcome. Retractable leashes, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades and scooters are not permitted for safety reasons. Arrive early; the park will close to all traffic at 6:30PM and will not reopen until approximately 8:30PM. An admission ticket (not receipt) is required for event entry. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Lost tickets will not be replaced. Admission tickets will be mailed if purchased more than 7 days prior to the event. Tickets purchased 7 or fewer days prior to the event can be picked up at the Park and Program Services office at 861 Riverland Drive on James Island.
