Run Like a Nut Half Marathon + 10k + 5k – November 7, 2015 – Fitness Forum – Florence SC

I already like this Pecan Festival race due to the clever name and the fact that locker room facilities are provided to all participants. After the race, you can enjoy live music, dance performances, tractor and car shows, and cook-offs at the Pecan Festival. All three race distances were well-attended last year.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Run like a Nut is 3 races, a half marathon, 10k, 5k.

The courses are very flat and fast as it winds mostly through median divided, established neighborhoods near downtown Florence. The run is part of the Downtown Development Corporation’s Annual Pecan Festival http://www.florencedowntown.com/pecan-festival/.

The race kicks off at the Fitness Forum, 2 blocks from downtown, so the participants can use the locker room facilities and walk directly to the festival once the race is concluded. There is no fee for the festival.

Medals to all Half Marathon participants. T-shirts guaranteed to all pre-registered runners and awards to overall male and female and masters as well as top 3 in each age group.
