ILM Airport 5k – October 10, 2015 – Wilmington Airport – Wilmington NC

This is the first race held on the Wilmington airport runway. As you probably guessed, it will consist of an out-and-back on the runway, which is an excellent opportunity to get a 5k PR! Aside from the race, Aviation Day at the airport will include airplane displays, model flying club performances, kid’s activities, and food trucks.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

For the first time in history participants will be allowed to run/walk on the ILM Airport runway where over ¾ million passengers per year take off and land in 800,000+lbs Airplanes. History will be made. Be one of the first to step foot on the 8,000+ foot runway.
