Dog Tag Dash 5k – November 14, 2015 – Crown Plaza Resort – Asheville NC
This is the second running of an event for a great cause, the Veteran’s Restoration Quarters of ABCCM. It is a good race for runners who don’t like competing with traffic, as it takes place mostly around the golf course of Crowne Plaza Resort.
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
The 2nd Annual 5K Dog Tag Dash “Run for a Veteran” is fundraising event in support all the programs provided by ABCCM. This includes the Veterans’ Restoration Quarters which is the 3rd largest program in the nation with 160 transitional housing beds for veterans and 50 permanent supportive housing units for veterans. The Steadfast House for women and children which houses 10 female veterans.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families providing homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing. Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program provides support to secure gainful employment and assists in job training education.
Each runner will receive a story of a veteran that ABCCM is/has assisted.
