Monster Dash 5K – October 25, 2015 – Raleigh, NC
Halloween doesn’t just mean trick or treating. Who doesn’t want another reason to dress up? Adults and kids alike are encouraged to show off their costumes at this family fun event. Feel free to sign up as a competitive or recreational racer. The 5K race is also one of the events in the 2015 Second Empire Grand Prix.
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
The Monster Dash is a Halloween themed family festival. The day features a 5K competitive race, 1 Mile fun run and 100 yard Monster Dash for the little ones. Kids Zone is provided courtesy of the Alexander Family YMCA. We’ll also have a costume contest for adults, children and teams (this is a family event so please use good taste). As always, a special appearance by Ronald McDonald.
The race and the other activities, which is sponsored by Capital RunWalk in Cameron Village, will be held near the intersection of Woodburn Rd and Clark Ave. The 100-yard Monster Dash will start at 1:45 pm followed by the mile at 2 pm and the 5K at 2:30 pm. All of the races start and finish on Woodburn Road.
