What better way to bring in the fall than on a beautiful trail run? This is a flat out and back course on a low impact surface. It starts on the road and then leads onto a 10 foot wide course over bridges and through a tunnel. The American Tobacco Trail is an expansive 22 mile trail system through Durham, Wake, and Chatham counties. A serene setting and a commemorative pint glass at the finish!
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
The American Tobacco Trail 10 Miler was created in 2007 to raise awareness and support for the growing trail system throughout the Triangle. It has been designated as the RRCA North Carolina State Championship 10 Mile Event each year beginning in 2008.
Held in the early fall, the race is a perfect distance for those tapering for a fall marathon or those trying out a new race distance. Proceeds from these races will help American Tobacco Trail development and maintenance through Triangle Rails to Trails Conservancy. Do not miss this rare opportunity to race on one of the finest, most beautiful courses in the Triangle!
