National MPS Society 5k – November 14, 2015 – WakeMed Soccer Park – Cary NC
|This race has been taking place in Cary since 2012. The MPS Society researches Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) and Mucolipidosis (ML), serious progressive metabolic diseases. You can watch several inspiring videos from the MPS Society at the race website. The race takes place on the WakeMed cross country course and is mostly off-road.

The North Carolina National MPS Society 5K Walk/Run is an event that will benefit the National MPS Society. Funds raised will be for research of ML and MPS Diseases. Please visit the National MPS Society website for more details on this wonderful organization.
The motivation for this event is shared by the Klein and Schleter Families as their daughter Jennifer suffers from Mucolipidosis Type III. Please read a little more about Jennifer and her journey with ML.
The Society has one office that serves our Nation and it is located in the Raleigh Durham Area! The Society is the national support for families and children affected by Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) and Mucolipidosis (ML). The Society advocates through efforts in Research, Family Assistance, Federal Legislative, Educational and Fundraising Committees. Since 2000 Walk/Runs have raised over $4 million dollars for RESEARCH.
