Cindy Platt Main Street Mile – September 12, 2015 – Main Street – Brevard NC

A new Main Street Mile in Brevard benefiting the Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club. 1 mile races are a fun change from the longer distances, and the downhill finish should help you get a speedy time. Check out a video of the course here.

FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS

Like simple, really fun and spectacular races? The Main Street Mile is just that…a one mile race that cruises down beautiful and historic Main Street with a perfect downhill finish towards The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club. A dance party with DJ Dogg from Class & Sound Entertainment, some encouragement from our super cool Emcee, Brad Snipes, and some grub from the Oskar Blues Brewery food truck will knock your socks off. Together with Mountain Song Productions and the Can’d Aid Foundation, we present to you the one and only, Main Street Mile.

The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County was founded in 1999. As the largest youth development organization in Transylvania County, we enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

Through programs that focus on Education, Character & Leadership, the Arts, Health & Wellness, and Sports, Recreation and Fitness, we serve school aged youth, 5-18 years old through our after-school and summer programs.
