Run Against Addiction Half Marathon – October 17, 2015 – Spindale NC
This is Rutherford County’s second annual Run Against Addiction. The race runs along the Thermal Belt Rail Trail. The race benefits the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office GREAT Program and House of Refuge for Rutherford County.

This is not an ordinary race, not just another 5k. Every step has a purpose. This is a race for our community, for our county. This is a race to fight addiction. It’s a race to fight against addiction to methamphetamine and other illegal drugs. It’s a race to fight against addiction to nicotine, alcohol, and prescription drugs. It’s a race to get our sons and daughters back, our families back and our community back.
