Battleship Half Marathon/5k – November 8, 2015 – Battleship North Carolina – Wilmington NC
This event starts and finishes at the Battleship North Carolina, across the river from downtown Wilmington. This rolling course (not flat!) crosses two bridges and winds through historic downtown Wilmington.

The 17th annual Port City Orthopaedics Battleship Half Marathon and Battleship 5K runs over one of the best race courses you’ll ever do! The race includes a beautiful, USATF-certified (NC13063DF) Half Marathon and precisely measured 5K that starts and finishes at the Battleship North Carolina across the river from downtown Wilmington, NC. It’s only 9 miles to Wrightsville Beach which is one of the best beaches on the east coast.
The Half Marathon course crosses 2 bridges, goes through historic downtown Wilmington and around Greenfield Lake with the 12-mile mark at the top of the Memorial Bridge which is the highest point on the course. The course is not flat by any means but (8) North Carolina Half Marathon state records have been set at the Battleship Race in our 16-year history.
