LPC Throwback Triathlon – August 2, 2015 – Lelia Patterson Center – Fletcher NC
This triathlon focuses on participation rather than competition. They encourage the wearing of retro attire for the somewhat challenging race. Times are available following the triathlon. The event benefits the LPC swim program for underprivileged children.

The LPC Triathlon is a Throwback Tri! What does this mean? Believe it or not, before the days of bike racks, triathlons and multi-sport events were still as prominent as ever. The Retro Tri Series is taking a step back to those days by offering a unique series that highlights the retro allure that once was. Retro attire is encouraged to enhance the experience and atmosphere!
In specific, the Throwback Triathlon is a multisport event for athlete of many ages and experience levels that combines swimming, biking, and running. Although it is not required, events may be timed; the focus is on participation rather than competition.
