“Lakeshore Trail” is a moderate level trail that is challenging, yet beautiful, as it winds along the shores of Lake Norman. Runners will run a shaded course through Lake Norman State Park, crossing several roads and bridges during the 6.2 miles. Open sections provide opportunity to pass while technical single track sections will test runners’ skill with tight corners, sharp descents, and power climbs. There will be several water stations throughout the course, as well as a restroom mid-course.
3.1 mile course will take runners along wide roads throughout Lake Norman State Park. The surrounding forest provides runners with beautiful views and a shaded course. There are no steep uphills or downhills along this course, perfect for both recreational and competitive runners. There will be one water stop along the course.
