Freedlander 5k – September 19, 2015 – Haywood Community College – Clyde NC
The race begins on Freedlander Drive and takes runners on an out-and-back section on a flat section of Jones Cove Road. Once runs are back on campus, they will start the hilly portion of the course around campus, with the finishing stretch around the Mill Pond.

Haywood Community College celebrates its 50th anniversary with a 5K named after the college’s founder. The race will be held on the HCC campus and take runners through campus and a portion of bordering roads. Following the race and awards ceremony will be a day-long anniversary celebration.
