Step One 5k – August 29, 2015 – Aldersgate United Methodist Church – Shelby NC
Described as a “relaxed” 5k, the organizers do mention there’s a challenging hill in the second mile, though not an impossible hill to run. This is part of the Step One Challenge, Cleveland County’s free walking contest.

Annual 5K that is in conjunction with the county wide Step One Challenge. The course does have a nice hill around mile 2 that will make you push a little harder, but is not impossible by any means. This is a very relaxed 5K that is intended for anyone who wants to come out. It is also for those who are participating in the Step One Challenge as a kick off to get extra steps off the bat.
