Springdale 5k – August 8, 2015 – Springdale Race Course – Camden SC
The Springdale 5k starts and finishes at the grandstand of the Springdale Race Course. The event – in its 6th year – now begins at sunrise. It benefits the United Way of Kershaw County.
FROM THE RACE ORGANIZERS
The Springdale Race Course hosts two of the most important steeplechases on the yearly calendar – the extremely popular Carolina Cup in the spring and the prestigious Colonial Cup in the autumn. The grounds of the race course are also home to the National Steeplechase Museum.
The race presents a unique opportunity for you to see the homestretch of the track as a thoroughbred steeplechase race horse does. The course will be a more friendly route starting behind grandstands, running a gravel road for almost a mile to pavement and finishing approximately the last half mile on grass in front of grandstand.
