Traditionally, cross country teams and individuals use this event to gauge their training heading into the fall cross country and road-racing season. Others enjoy the option of running the all-grass course — the exact course used for the annual Eye Opener Cross Country meet hosted each fall for high school and college cross country teams from across the Southeast.
