FROM CORRESPONDENT VICTOR DOSTROW
This was my second time to run this 5k. There was fairly dense fog on the drive to the event, which was rather ominous. However, it cleared fairly quickly and the weather at the gun was low 60s and overcast: good race weather. Event organization was excellent and crowd support, as was the case last year, was enthusiastic. The course is at Carrier Park and environs, so it’s flat and fast. I beat my time from last year by a few seconds, so it was a good day. Turnout exceeded last year: It appears that this race is catching on. As much of our food comes from Earth Fare, I was pleased to be able to come out again this year to support their event. I am looking forward to next year. Congratulations go out to Frankie Adkins as first male and Natasha Shipman as first female.
